Bedford Residents Facing Dealing, Possession Charges

Lawrence County- Two Bedford residents were arrested on April 11, 2023, on drug-related charges in Lawrence County.

The Indiana State Police, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department, and Bedford Police Department conducted an investigation after receiving information that two people of Bedford were suspected of dealing drugs. As result a traffic stop was initiated Tuesday afternoon.

During the stop and investigation, Bedford Police Sergeant Faheem Bade deployed his K-9 partner Zazu. Zazu positively alerted to the possible presence of narcotics within the vehicle. Officers found a bag containing approximately 50 blue pressed pills, containing fentanyl, and a handgun.

20-year-old Tyler Gunderson and 22-year-old Jade Hillenburg, both of Bedford, were arrested and incarcerated in the Lawrence County Jail for Dealing a Narcotic Drug, a Level 2 Felony, Possession of a Narcotic Drug, a Level 3 Felony, Possession of Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor, and Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class C Misdemeanor.

Following the traffic stop, officers executed a search warrant at another location where it was believed that Gunderson and Hillenburg stored additional controlled substances. During the course of the location’s search, officers seized approximately 330 blue pressed pills, containing fentanyl, approximately 11 grams of purported heroin, and boxes containing a THC product.
