Area Man Leads Police on Chase, Troopers Find Meth, Other Drugs

ORANGE COUNTY -- A Leavenworth man is in jail on a number of drug charges after being pulled over for speeding Tuesday on SR 145 in Orange County.

State Police say 21-year-old Nathan Fey was clocked driving a red jeep 87 mph in a 55 mph zone. 

When troopers tried to pull him over, Fey allegedly began to pull over, but then took off at a high rate of speed. He eventually pulled onto the shoulder and continued driving 5 mph for about a quarter of a mile before coming to a stop.

Arrest reports show Fey resisted arrest until another trooper arrived on the scene to help get him under control. 

The suspect was taken to IU Health in Paoli for minor injuries and for a chemical test.

Fey is facing a long list of charges including… Resisting Law Enforcement, Possession of methamphetamine, paraphernalia and Marijuana, Reckless Driving, and OWI - Controlled Substance.
