Area Law Enforcement Warning Residents That Stealing Campaign Signs is Illegal

PERRY COUNTY -- Don’t steal the signs.  That’s the warning today from the Perry County Sheriff’s Office after campaign signs were stolen in the county; other signs have been damaged.

Officials remind you the signs belong to someone and it is a crime to steal or damage them.

Theft, Criminal Mischief and Criminal Trespass charges could be filed against those who do.
