ANONYMOUS TIP LEADS TO NARCOTICS AND FIREARMS ARREST
An anonymous tip submitted through the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office mobile app resulted in the arrest of a Jasper man
on multiple felony charges. Officers located 4.3 grams of methamphetamine, 15.3 grams of psychedelic mushrooms, 52.5
grams of marijuana and multiple firearms.
Joshua E. Norman, 43, of Jasper is charged with:
Possession of Methamphetamine, level 5 felony
Possession of a Controlled Substance with Enhancing Circumstance, level 6 felony
Possession of Marijuana, Class B Misdemeanor
Possession of Paraphernalia, Class C Misdemeanor
On Friday, September 6, Narcotics Detectives received information through the Dubois County Sheriff’s
Office mobile app tip line of a male subject possessing methamphetamine, psychedelic mushrooms, marijuana and
firearms inside his Jasper residence. On Tuesday, September 10 th , Narcotics Detectives went to the residence to
speak with the male subject, Joshua E. Norman. Upon their arrival, Detectives knocked on the front door and
observed a strong odor of raw marijuana coming from inside the residence. After no answer at the front door,
detectives walked to the back of the residence. While walking to the back of the residence, detectives passed a
window AC unit, where they observed the odor of raw marijuana coming from the exhaust of the unit. As
Detectives applied for a search warrant through the Dubois County Superior Court, Joshua arrived home. A short
time later, the search warrant was granted and executed. During a search of the residence, detectives located 4.3
grams of methamphetamine, 15.3 grams of psychedelic mushrooms, 52.5 grams of marijuana, miscellaneous items
containing THC, multiple items of paraphernalia containing indicators of narcotics use, and several firearms. All
items were seized and secured for evidence. Joshua E. Norman was transported to the Dubois County Security
Center where he is being housed on the above offenses. A $2,500 bond has been set by the Dubois County Superior
Court.
ALL CHARGES FILED IN THIS CASE ARE MERELY ALLEGATIONS AND ALL SUSPECTS ARE
CONSIDERED INNOCENT UNLESS AND UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.
