Annual Wine & Fries Event Scheduled for February 25 to Benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley

Local Sources — Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of the Ohio Valley will host its fourth-annual Wine & Fries Event on Friday, February 25, from 6:00-10:00 p.m. at Bally’s Riverfront Event Center in downtown Evansville.

Guests will enjoy wine, dancing, Nashville’s Rock & Roll Dueling Pianos, and McDonald’s World-Famous Fries during an evening that supports the charity’s mission to keep families close when their children are receiving medical care far from home. A wine pull, silent auction, photo booth, beverages, and food stations will also be part of the evening’s festivities.

Additionally, Ronald McDonald will attend as a celebrity guest and Master of Ceremonies at this year’s event. Individual tickets are $100, a pair may be purchased for $150, and reserved tables of 8 are $750. Purchase tickets online at rmhcohiovalley.org/wine-fries.

“This event is so much more than just a fun night out,” said Theresa Floyd-Maas, executive director of RMHC of the Ohio Valley. “All proceeds go toward helping families whose children are undergoing life-saving medical treatments far from home. Families who stay at the Houses are steps away from their children and the care they need. They have access to food, a kitchen, laundry facilities, and a private bedroom with bathroom among other common living and play spaces. RMHC offers a homelike environment that gives them respite and an opportunity to rest and recharge when not at the hospital with their child. The impact of our mission lasts long beyond a family’s stay.”

McDonald’s World-Famous Fries will be provided by locally owned McDonald’s restaurants in the Evansville area. “We’re proud to play such a large part in this fundraiser for a worthy mission,” said Katie Kenworthy, McDonald’s owner operator.

“In addition to providing McDonald’s World-Famous Fries for this event, we also support the charity by collecting change in coin collection boxes at our restaurants and through Round Up for RMHC, and 5 cents of every Happy Meal purchased goes to benefit our local chapter.”
