ALERT: Road Closure Scheduled for 145 Near Bristow

PERRY COUNTY – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure on State Road 145 near Bristow for a bridge rehabilitation project.

Beginning on or around Monday, March 29, contractors will close the S.R. 145 bridge spanning Sulphur Fork Creek about 5 miles south of Bristow as crews begin the process to partially replace the bridge deck. Crews will be removing sections of pavement, rehabbing the steel structure and replacing the concrete.

Work is expected to last until the end of July depending upon weather conditions. During construction the bridge will be completely closed around the clock. Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure, but all through traffic should use the official detour following S.R. 37 and S.R. 62.
