69 New COVID-19 Cases, 1 Death Reported This Week in Dubois County

JASPER -- Another Dubois County resident has died from COVID-19, three more test positive, according to the Dubois County Health Department.
It brings the county’s death toll to 20.
In a statement released Thursday, local health officials said, “This tragedy reminds the entire community the importance of following recommendations set out by the CDC. We are seeing high community spread of COVID-19 in Dubois County."
The statement continued, "We understand that stage 5 has removed some restrictions on the number of people allowed at group gatherings and special events. However, it is still essential to physically distance yourself from others and wear masks while participating in these activities. This increase in viral spread impacts our schools, healthcare facilities and the entire community."
1,112 people in Dubois County have tested positive for COVID-19 since the pandemic began. 905 have recovered.
Dubois County officials have reported a total of 69 new cases this week alone (not including Friday's numbers which should be released later today).
