300 North Finishing Services achieves Certified Cerakote® Applicator status

300 North Finishing Services, a local provider of high quality finishing, refinishing, and restoration services, has recently achieved the designation of Certified Cerakote Applicator.

Cerakote is a ceramic based finish that can be applied to metals, plastics, polymers and wood. The unique formulation used for Cerakote ceramic coating enhances a number of physical performance properties including abrasion/wear resistance, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, impact strength, and hardness.

“I’ve been using Cerakote on customer projects since my company was established in 2021,” says Johnny Merder, owner and sole proprietor of 300 North. “It was perfect for applications where extreme durability or heat resistance were called for. This Certification is the next logical step for 300 North and my customers.”

To achieve the status of Certified Applicator, candidates must complete a detailed, on-site training program complete with classroom training on the science of finish properties and actual hands-on product application.

“The training program was a very in-depth process and will take 300 North’s service offering to the next level,” says Merder. “Now that I’m certified, I have access to all of Cerakote’s resources, so now my customers will too, whether it’s picking the right Cerakote series for a project, or mixing a custom color. And factory technical help is just a phone call away. I’m very excited to offer these new capabilities to my customers.”
