Ferdinand Library Summer Reading Program & Services

Where can you take children for interactive play, music and story time? Where can you go to have an entire room filled with fun activities to play with? Where can you go to enjoy a hobby? Where can you go to listen to a variety of excellent presentations? Where can you go to get a metal detector, a puzzle, a board game or a telescope to use? Where can you go to use a computer? Where can you go to get a book to listen to while you are traveling? Where can you take a class to learn a language or a new skill? Where can you go to get books to read? Where can you advise Teens to go for a safe place to hang out or study? Where can all ages go and find something for everyone? Above all, where can you go to do all of this for free? ANSWER: The Ferdinand Library! 

We are honored to be able to provide those services all year long. Because of the support of the community, our annual ‘Summer Reading Program’ goes beyond all of that to provide an excellent format for reading, creating and learning. This year’s theme is: “Let The Games Begin”! There will be a variety of weekly professional programs, arts and crafts, STEM- related activities, reading opportunities and family programming.

All ages get very excited about the activities and the prizes which are made possible from the generosity of our Donors. The Ferdinand Library depends on donations to continue to offer our community quality services. Could we count on your sponsorship? With your funding, your organization’s name will be featured in the booklet which is sent home with each elementary and middle school student in our district. In addition, your sponsorship is clearly advertised in our Library Display Case as well as our social media sites including Facebook & Instagram.
