11 New Counties Under "Orange" Advisory in Wednesday COVID Dashboard Update

Indiana - Wednesday, the Indiana Department of Health announced 1,248 additional COVID-19 cases and 12 deaths as 11 more counties were raised from the "Blue", safest advisory level.

According to IDH's COVID Dashboard, as of last Wednesday, July 21st, 52 of Indiana's 92 counties were in the Yellow advisory level or higher. This week that number of counties has increased by 10. In this week's COVID map update, Daviess, Martin and Orange counties are the only areas with the lowest levels of cases and positivity rates.

In Southwestern Indiana, Dubois, Pike, Spencer, Posey, Vanderburgh, and Knox have now recorded between 10 and 99 new cases per 100,000 residents and/or a seven-day positivity rate of 5%-9.9%.

Gibson, Warrick, Perry, Crawford, Harrison and Washington have been have been categorized as "Orange", the second-highest level. These counties have seen 100-199 new cases per 100,000 residents and/or a seven-day positivity rate between 10%-14.9%.

Last week four counties met the "Orange" qualifications; this week there are 15.
