The OVL Baseball season starts tonight. The defending OVL regular season and playoff champions your Dubois County Bombers will host the Muhlenberg County Stallions 6:55PM pre game 7:00PM first pitch on WITZ FM and witzamfm.com. Walt Ferber and Roger Stuckey will have the call of all games.

Otherwise in the OVL tonight the Madisonville Miners will be at the Paducah Chiels and the Hoptown Hoppers travel to play the Fulton Railroaders

Five former Jasper Wildcats players have joined the semi pro Jasper Reds squad. Trevor Krapf, Jacob Lents, Noah Luebbehusen and Josh Weidenbenner. Team General Manager Bob Alles stated this addition of players improves the team significantly,particularly defensively. The Reds in their 125th year will host the Saline County Illinois Monarchs Saturday.

There will be a sendoff for the Southridge Girls Track team heading to the State Finals in Bloomington which starts Friday. the sendoff will be today (Thursday at 3PM) at Southridge High School

Jasper High School graduate and IU Sophomore pitcher Cal Krueger has been named All Academic Big Ten.
