Jasper Head Football Coach Tony Aherns retires

At todays Jasper High School  football banquet  head football coach Ton Aherns announced his retirement effective immediately. Aherns record at Jasper was 144-44 and as a running back in 1976-77 and asst coach from 1985 to 2002 and HC till 2018 Aherns has been a part of every Jasper football trip to the state finals. Aherns atated at the age of 60 he no longer has the energy needed to give the head coaching job at Jasper what is deserved. according to Supt Tracy Lorey Ahern will remain at the school as a teacher
