Forest Park's Mehringer Breaks Record, Places at Nike Nationals

Local Sources - Forest Park Ranger runner Rachel Mehringer broke an all-time record while placing at the Nike Indoor Track and Field Nationals.

At the Armory in New York City this past weekend, Mehringer qualified for Sunday's finals in the Championship Section of the Girls 60-Meter Hurdles with an 8.45-second time in the semifinal round. Mehringer broke her own all-time state record. Her time is the ninth-fastest time run in the United States in 2023.

Mehringer would finish third in the final race.
