Fallout From NASCAR Star's Racial Comments Continue as Sponsors Pull Their Business
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The fallout for NASCAR star Kyle Larson using a racial slur on a live streamed virtual race continued Tuesday.
Larson was fired by Chip Ganassi Racing after losing all of his major sponsors and being suspended by both the team and NASCAR Monday.
The 27-year-old Larson was in his seventh season with Ganassi and was set to become arguably NASCAR’s most sought after free agent next offseason. He was practicing for an iRacing event Sunday night when he said the “N-word” on a chat all drivers could hear while he was trying to communicate privately with his spotter.
