Big League Baseball Classic announces rosters filled with former MLB, local standouts ahead of August game

- With the Big League Baseball Classic on the horizon, the lines, filled out with former major leaguers and local standouts, have been drawn.


The Big League Baseball Classic, hosted by the Dubois County Bombers, will be held at League Stadium in Huntingburg, Indiana, on August 10th. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET.


As previously reported, a pair of local, state champion, high school head coaches have been tabbed to lead either side: Terry Gobert (Jasper) and Gene Mattingly (Southridge).


Team Gobert includes:

- Scott Podsednik (White Sox, Brewers), Bret Boone (Reds), Kyle Farnsworth (Cubs), Steve Cishek (Marlins, former Dubois Co. Bomber), and Kevin Mahar (Rangers, Cincinnati Reds coaching staff).

- Former/recent Bombers: Drew Bradley, Jake Stuteville, Carter Stamm, Grant Stratton, Kendrick Sorgius, and Wes Fink (Staff).


Team Mattingly includes:

- Ray Lankford (Cardinals), Rick Ankiel (Cardinals), and Coco Crisp (Guardians, Red Sox, Athletics).

- Former/recent Bombers: Mick Uebelhor, Travis Lamar (Current Coach), Greg Gogel (Former Coach), Juan Guzman, Carter Whitehead, Wes Allen, Tucker Schank, and Ethan Bell.


Bombers broadcasters Roger Stuckey and Kris Norton will provide radio play-by-play. WITZ's Melanie Arehart and Kris Norton will conduct in-game interviews.
