Area Wrestlers Win at All-Star Classic Duals in Illinois

Local Sources - Jasper, Southridge, and Tell City wrestlers representing Indiana picked up All-Star Classic wins in Illinois this past weekend.

Over the weekend, a total of six Southern Indiana high school wrestlers represented Team Indiana in the Indiana vs. Illinois All-Star Classic Duals. The two sides met at Notre Dame College Prep School in Niles, Illinois.

In the lone matchup for each wrestler, Jeb Prechtel (160-pound weight class, Jasper High School) defeated Illinois state champion Dax Gentes. Army-Commit Reid Schroeder (195-pound, Southridge High School) also defeated and Illinois state champion in Nick Nosler. Tell City's Coy Hammack also picked up a win in the event.

Indiana and Illinois would tie 3-3 on the day.
