Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper has announced two upcoming programs.

The Jasper Chamber of Commerce has issued a correction for the Strassenfest Parade Route after an error in the program book.

Due to a significant outbreak of COVID-19 among students at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in Plainfield, Indiana, the Law Enforcement Training Board has made the decision to temporarily suspend the 2021-224 class at ILEA.

Wednesday, the Indiana Department of Health announced 1,248 additional COVID-19 cases and 12 deaths as 11 more counties were raised from the "Blue", safest advisory level.

In total, the scholarship program awarded over $170,000 in scholarship awards to students in the county.

The two-day benefit event will be held at the St. Meinrad Park on September 24 & 25 and will again feature FREE Admission.

Charles Ellis, 79, of Walkerton, Indiana, passed away at 9:20 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2017.

Edward H. Oser, 89 of Ferdinand passed away, Sunday, January 7th at his home.
